A traditional biscochito that is easy to make in any kitchen. The Bizcochito is an anise shortbread cookie with a sugar and cinnamon coating. It has been the official state cookie of New Mexico since 1989 with long traditional in the state as the Spanish Explorers introduced it to the area and throughout Latin America in the 1500’s.

Ingredients: Sugar, wheat flour, roasted blue cornmeal, vanilla extract, anise seed, egg powder, cinnamon, baking powder, salt, and pinon nuts.
